Opoponax (Sweet Myrrh) oil is derived from the raw material, a natural resin produced in a healthy tree (Commiphora Erythrea) native to East Africa. It has been described as “slightly animal like and similar to an emptied sherry glass”. Used mainly for perfumes and incense. Rich, earthy, sweet, balsamic aroma with some woody nuances.
