Muhuhu Essential Oil
Species: Brachyleana hutchinsii
Part: Wood
Method: Steam Distillation
Growth Method: Wild Harvest
Class: Sesquiterpene
Country: Kenya
This tree is native to Tanzania and Kenya along the East African coast and into mountain regions. The hardwood is used for flooring. The off cut leftover material and sawdust is milled and steam distilled to produce the essential oil.
Muhuhu oil, also known as African Sandalwood, possesses the aroma of fresh cut wood with sweet and balsamic undertones. It is an excellent fixative and in blending, Muhuhu adds a woody smokiness not unlike Indonesian Vetiver, albeit a much finer aroma. It will also prove itself by vintage.
Caution: For external use only. Keep away from children & pets. Avoid eyes & mucous membranes. If pregnant, consult doctor. Highly concentrated - always dilute with a carrier oil when using on skin.
