Neroli is a sweet, floral, exotic aromatic oil also referred to as orange flower oil. Highly sought for its high notes, various factors contribute to the excessive cost. Gathering the flowers is labor intensive and they must be distilled immediately after harvest. In addition the yield is less than half a percent.
