The native orange trees growing in the rich soils of Belize provide a darker orange oil. The aldehyde content is higher than sweet orange oil, giving unique candy-like nuances that add some complexity to an already wonderful aroma. Its aroma is also attributed to the high content of oxygenated compounds in this oil as a result of extraction from darker fully ripe fruits.
