This very aromatic evergreen tree can reach up to 15 ft in height. Native to Madagascar, its native name (in Malagasy) is Mandravasarotra meaning "what keeps evil/illness away” and has come to represent a generic term applied to plants used to neutralize spells. The aroma is reminiscent of a combination of tea tree, cajeput and niaouli. Camphorous with an almost fruity back note.
